The Bonner Kunstverein seeks to creatively engage young audiences and develop their appreciation of contemporary art. Our Kinderprogramm dates from the 1960s and continues to be further developed and expanded.
Launched in 2007, ‚KunstStück’ is a series of regular workshops developed in response to each exhibition. The programme is currently funded by Stiftung Jugendhilfe der Sparkasse in Bonn and delivered in collaboration with the children’s home Maria im Walde and the kindergarten St. Marien. The programm is organised by Claudia Boecker (art educator) and Britta Schaffeld (art educator and dance teacher).
‘Kulturrucksack’ is part of an annual citywide initiative that is funded by the City of Bonn. The festival is aimed at young people aged between 10 and 14 and comprises a range of activities hosted at the Kunstverein over 5 days. Particular emphasis is placed on encouraging young people to be independently creative. The programme is freely available to all but booking is essential.
